Berlin Blockade/Airlift
The Berlin blockade was help from the U.S. to Western Berlin. We helped them because of the dirty commies blocked off Eastern Berlin. It gave the U.S. another ally which helped us agaisnt the battle of communism. -
Korean War
This was a war between North and South Koread with help from the U.S. to South Korea. We tried stopping Communis from spreading. It helped the U.S. because it stopped communism from spreading into South Korea. -
Vietnam War
The Vietnam War was a war between a democracy goverment and a communist goverment. We proved that we are staying on a mission and ended the contast contrversy in Vientam. -
Sputnik
Sputnik was a satelitte launched by Russia into space. They were the first to launch one, but the U.S. was the first to land on the moon in the space race. -
Bay of Pigs
The Bay of Pigs was an failed invasion by Cuba. The C.I.A. swooped in and helped Cuba, starting the allyship between us again. Made Cuba an anex of the U.S. again also. -
Creation of the Berlin Wal
The Berlin Wall was created to keep people from crossing Eastern Berlin into Western Berlin for a better life. This was made to make a statement about communism. The U.S. supported Western Berlin by air drops with food, water, and other supplies. -

The Cuban Missile Crisis was a serious conflict to where the United States and Cuba almsot nuked each other. The outcome was that nobody got nuked and we talked it out. -

When Russia invaded Afghanistan we gave Afghanistan weapons or cars for allies. We supported them to fight and beat Russia and try to slow down communism. -

A set or reforms trying to end the Cold war and become allies with the U.S. This helped because we spent tons of money on this and lost a lot of things so it was over and we could focus more on important things like goverment. -
Fall of Berlin Wall
The Berlin Wall was created to seperate East and West Berlin. They did so people from East Berlin who was ruled by communism, to go to West Berlin which was run by democracy. This affected the U.S. because we had to fly in give food, water, and supplies to them which showed we are willing to fight agaisnt communism.
