  • Bay of Pigs invasion

    ・1,400 Cuban exiles began a failed invasion in the Bay of Pigs on the south coast of Cuba. In 1959, Fidel Castro took power in an armed rebellion that defeated Cuban dictator Fulhencio Batista.
