The Marshall plan caused the cold war to become a reality in the lives of people of the countries involved.

    The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is a military alliance formed in 1949 by ten Western European countries, the United States, and Canada. In cold War, NATO's primary purpose was to unify and strengthen the Western Allies' military response to a possible invasion of western Europe by the Soviet Union and its Warsaw Pact allies.

    The Berlin Wall was built in 1961 during the Cold War and separated East and West Berlin. The Cold War was the name given to the relationship between the USSR and USA after the end of WW2. The wall symbolized the lack of freedom under communism. It symbolized the Cold War and divide between the communist Soviet bloc and the western democratic, capitalist bloc.
