Throughout the 3-5th of August, the occurrence was the Battle of Mobile Bay. The Union came out unsuccessful as they tried to capture the Mobile Port. The Port closed -
On September 1st, 1864, General Hood evacuated Atlanta, Georgia. -
On September 2nd, General Sherman's Union Army finally was able to come to Atlanta. -
On September 22nd, Sheridan got his second victory. The Battle occurred in Virginia. -
On November 15th, General Sherman's Army left Atlanta to start its journey towards Georgia. -
In December of 1864, the Battle of Nashville occurred in Tennessee. The Union came out with a victory and ended up defeating the Army of General Hood. -

The Battle of Five Forks occurred on April 1st, 1865. The defeat showed Grant that the Confederate side of the army was slowly becoming weaker. -
