The north had a good navy but they knew they needed to make something a bit better, so they took a normal navy ship and covered it in iron. The south then made an iron ship. They then met on the water, and the battle was indecisive because cannonballs would do no damage to the other ship. The north then hurried and made a bunch of ships out of iron and they eventually surrounded the South.
