This battle was the largest ever fought in North America. Many soldiers died! The union army was led by Major General Meade. Northern Virginia's Confederate army, was lead by Gen. Robert E. Lee. The North won and that was turning point in the war. -
Siege Of Vicksburg
This siege lasted from May to July. This area was important because of the Mississippi River. In the end the Confederate army surrendered to General Ulysses Grant. This was the turning point of the war. -
