    Abraham Lincoln was elected presedent, he recieved hate mail by South Carolinna and he had a vote to remove South Carolina from the Union. He succeded and South Carolina was removed from the Union of the United States of america.

    presedent Buchanan didnt give his federal frots to the south so they captured them any way. At Fort Sumter South Carolina troops attacked a supply ship trying to reach the fort. the Supplie ship was forced to go back to New York. It didn't get to deliever its supplies.

But South Carolina already thought about that happening. So the commander of the fort, Robert Anderson, was asked to surrender. Anderson offered to surrender, but it was only after he gave up his supplies that his offer was rejected. And on April 12, the Civil War began...

    Transportation was a problem. Blocking caused a lot of shortages in food and supplies for the South. Soldiers die of hunger began to desert Lee's forces.

    General Lee's troops were surrounded. On April 7, Grant called Lee to surrender. On April 9, the two commanders met at Appomattox Courthouse, and agreed on the terms of surrender. Lee's men were sent home. Horses, and officers with their side arms. All other supplies were surrendered.
