    The Emancipation Proclamation was issued by President Lincoln declaring that all the slave in the confederate territories be free.

    This battle was fought in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It was the turning point in the civil war because the union soldiers deafted Lee and his group causing him to stop the invasion. It lasted for three days and ended July 3, 1863.

    General William T. Sherman captured Antlanta, Georgia so the union coud take over the souths major manufacture center and the rail road hub. It was a huge gain for the Union but a rather big loss for the confederates.
