    Brown v.  Board of education of Topeka
    Linda Brown decided to send their daughter to an all-white school near their home in Topeka Kansas. Linda had been denied. Segregation in school was ruled unconstitutional.

    That year a women named Rosa Parks was arrested after refusing to give her seat up on the bus to a white person. African American leaders called their followers to boycott, or refuse to not use publis buses. This had been going on for thirteen months. On November 13, 1956 supreme court thought that law was uncostitutional. This was a social event because The word of this womens arrest had been spread so quickly.

The resolution claimed that school integration would never work in the state.Pearsall drafted an amendment to the state constitution. The plan allowed schools to close rather than to integrate.     In Greensboro North Carolina students gathering at a lunch countes in a well known restraunt Woolwoth's. These four students were refused services as so they stayed there until the restraunt closed and returned the next day. This was known as the Greensboro " Coffe Party". This is known as a economic event because of its toll on costomers.

They had been refused service and they stayed their until the restraunt had closed. They had came back the next with more African Americans. This had been a social event to show that no matter what race they were they could eat where ever they had wanted too.

    Due to the wide sread protest in Birmingham Civil Rights leaders planned a huge demonstration in Washington D.C. 250,000 people took part in this march. It ended at the Lincolin Memorial and Dr. King gave his Universally known I Have a Dream Speech. This event is a political event becaused it showed that many people want civil rights laws to protect African Americans.

    Little Rock schools made plans to integrate but African American students were still not welcome in Kansas schools. On September 3rd, Oncal Farbus order the National Guard to not let these students in the school. This occured fro three weekks unitl President Dwight Eisenhower oredered federal troops into little rock. The students were allowed in the school but were escorted for their safety. This was a social event because it was widely known and upset many people.

    When President John F. Kennedy was assasinated on November 22, 1963 Vise President Lysonn B. Johnson was soon into office. He was a strong supporter of the Civil Rights Legislation. In July he signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This was a economic event because it prevented job desomination, equal pay for equal work.

This prevented African Americans from having To take literacy test and having other laws that prevented them from voting within weeks the percentage of African Americans that registered to vote jumped 10 percen to 80percent.
