Bayardo San Roman (simmilar to the murder victim- also perceived as a foreginer), he arrives into the town in expensive trousers, gloves and a jacket.
- Perceived as handsome, enchanting and wealthy "Bayardo San Román, the man who had given back his bride, had turned up for the first time in August of the year before: six months before the wedding," (Pg 25). Mother wrote to narrator that Bayardo San Roman has arrived in town (pg. 26) -
Bayardo San Roman brings his whole family: “the father, the mother, and two provocative sisters.” They arrived in a “Model T Ford” and aroused the streets at eleven o’clock in the morning.”

The twins bring Bayardo San Roman home the day after the bazaar along with a music box.

Xius died and sold house to Bayardo
Angela's mother did not allow Angela to look at houses with Bayardo to keep her honor. -
Bayardo bought the house in an effort to buy Angela's love because she didnt want to marry him Bayardo wants to buy Xius's house, but it "does not have a pric." (35)

Margot learns that Angela Vicario, the bride of the day before, has been returned to her parents' house because her husband has discovered that she isn't a virgin.
- the night before the killing of Santiago "Unlike engagements of the time, which were long and supervised, theirs lasted only four months, due to Bayardo's urgings," (García Márquez 35). "The only unforseen surprise was caused by the groom on the morning, for he was two hours late in coming for Angela Vicario," (García Márquez 41). -

Angela refused to get dressed until "she saw him." (40) -
"She only took the time necessary to say the name. She looked for it in the shadows, she found it at first sight among the many, many easily confused names from this world and the other, and she nailed it to the wall with her well-aimed dart, like a butterfly with no will whose sentence has always been written. 'Santiago Nasar,' she said," (Pg 47).

Murder is on a Monday (in february)
Her distraught family forced her to name her first lover; and her twin brothers announced their intention to murder Santiago Nasar for dishonoring their sister (taking her virginity)
Santiago Nasar will now be killed: as everyone makes their way toward the bishop's boat, the two men who are waiting to kill Santiago, Pedro Vicario and Pablo Vicario are waiting at the local milk shop, the only place that is open at that hour. -
Chapter 3 (Pg 48-49): Released from prison in Riohacha
The Vicario twins spend three years in prison awaiting trial but are acquitted in court, after which Pablo marries his fiancée, Prudencia Cotes and Pedro leaves for the armed forces.
After 3 years- the twins plea is up
Plea= a plea or deal is used in the courtroom so thatpoeple can confess to doing smething already under the deal that thye will be safe or already have a certain amount of years in jail. -
"Most of all, he never thought it legitimate that life should make use of so many coincidences forbidden leiterature, so that there should be the untrammeled fulfulmemnt of a death so dearly foretold" (99).

- Mercedes Barcha reminds Marquez of his proposal in marriage to her as soon as she finished primary school -Reminds him that he did this out of confusion because of the festival -

Narrator visits Angela by chance => recounts her story about Bayardo (pg. 88-89) -
Thinking back on Santiago and his tendencies about when he wakes up, talking to Gabriel Marquez Chapter 5: Placida Linero never forgave herself for mixing up the bad omen of birds with the good omen of trees in her son's dream, and telling her son, before his death, that his dream boded good health.
