    One of Kao-tsu's sons, general Li Shimin, eliminated every rival in of the Tang Dynasty and confirmed Tang's control. He then procceded in murdering his brothers. When he succeded he forced his father to give him total control over the dynasty. He then named himself Tang Taizon.

    The first emperor of the Tang Dynasty, Kao-tsu, continued many of the Sui Dynasty's belives. He granted equal land to every adult male in exchange of taxes and the respect of the government's rules.

  • Huang He Rebellion

    Huang He Rebellion
    Huang Chao was the leader of a major agrarian rebellion that, during the last decade of his life, weakened the Tang dynasty. Huang first became a salt smuggler, before joining Wang Xianzhi's rebellion in the middle of the 870s. His army roved much of the Tang realm for years, pillaging and committing the Guangzhou massacre. In 881, his troops captured the capital Chang'an, forcing Emperor Xizong of Tang to flee. Huang was killed by his nephew Lin Yan During a fight.

    General Zhao Kuangyin, serving in the army of the Later Zhou Dynasty, was elected emperor by his disgruntled soldiers. In fact, he was dragged from his bed in the middle of the night and had the emperor's dragon robe thrown on him hastily! He marched on the capital and deposed the last emperor establishing the Sung Dynasty. He took the title Taizu.
