Four years after the earthquake, Blanca gives birth to her daughter Alba who, like her predecessors, shares the gift of foresight. -
Esteban Dies
Esteban Trueba dies peacefully, As he dies, Alba channels the spirity of Clara, Esteban's wife who comforts him as he dies. Esteban reveals his true feelings towards Clara who meant a great deal to him during life. -

Pinochet retires from his military postition and is named senator for life, but is subsequently arrested in the United Kingdom at the request of the Spanish government for charges of murder. -
Pinochet Returns to Chile
The Chilean Government decides that Pinochet should not be extradited and returns him to Chile to stand trial there. He is given immunity from prosecution several times, and he never stands trial based on health concerns and the potential for political repercussions from the trial. -
Pinochet Resigns
Pinochet resigns from his position as life long senator, finally ending any political sway he had.
