    -I was born on May 12, 2001
    -During the 3rd week of pregnancy an embryo forms.
    -The brain and central nervous system become responsive during the 2nd trimester
  • Infant (Birth to 1 year)

    -I started crawling around 8 months
    -A baby should sit with support by 9 months
    -Most babies take a few steps by 1 year old
  • Toddler (1 to 3 years)

    Toddler (1 to 3 years)

    -I startedd walking when I was 13 months old
    -Around 18 months a child will start to say several words
    -A child usually starts to show defiance at about age 2
  • Preschool (3 to 5 years)

    Preschool (3 to 5 years)

    -When I was 4 years old, my little brother was born
    -By age 3, most children can follow instructions with 2 or 3 steps
    -A child can speak very clearly by age 5
  • Gradeschool (5 to 12 years)

    -When I was in kindegarten and first grade, my dad was deployed in Iraq; and when I was 10, my sister was born
    -By 3rd grade most children hit a large growth spurt
    -A child starts to see both sides of an issue around 5th Grade
  • Adolescence (12 to 18 years)

    Adolescence (12 to 18 years)

    -I moved from my childhood home when I was 14
    -Teenagers start to become more influenced by their friends
    -Around age 12 kids social circles start to shift
