    He was big on segregation rights and he joined a lot of associations about segregation. He was the president of a college and he even taught Martin Luther King Jr.

    He served for the Georgia Senate for 10 years. Later he got elected for the U.S. Senate.

    This allowed African Americans to attend public school with whites. It also created the saying "Separate but equal". All segregation was banned.
