Charlie tested againt Algernon the mouse for the first time and lost: " that test made me feel worser than all the others because they did it ove 10 times with different amazeds and Algernon won every time," (374). -

Charlie experiences hatred for the first time."I hate that mouse," He said (376). -
Social situation
Charlie continues to be nieve about his social situation: 'their really my friends and they like me" (377) -
Sucess
Charlie had his first taste of getting smarter when he "beat Algernon" (379) -
Not Perfect
Charlie realized that not all things are fair in life. I don think its right to make you pass a test to eat," He Procalaimed (380). -
Questions
Charlie does not realize that the fiction world is limited, and he starts to ask questions about: "I want to find out more about what happens to himbut Miss Kinnian says thats all there is. Why? (381) -
Reality
Miss Kinnian shows charlie the reality of life that charlie was having trouble grabing, you "shouldnt fell if i find out everybody isnt nice like I think" (381) -
Improvement
Miss Kinnian realizes Charlies improvement: "You are coming along fast, Charlie" (382). -
Vunerable
The consistent bullying from people at work left Charlie vunerbale, it was the first time he had felt this way before: "Everyone was looking at me laughing and I felt naked" (383). -
Love
Charlie fianlly ralizes what love is: " I love Miss Kinnian" (388) -
Not Permanent
Charlie realizes that hsi knowledge will not be permanent: "I Have already begun to notice signs of emotional instability and forgetfulness, the first symptoms of the burnout" (396). -
Goodbye
Charlie writes his last progress report: "Goodbye Miss Kinnian and Dr Strauss and evrybody" (401).
