Charles Darwin creates a sketch of the evolution theory
Darwin drafted a thirty-five-page sketch of his theory of natural selection in 1842 and expanded it in 1844, but he had no intentions of publishing the sketch. Then in 1844, he wrote Emma a letter detailing that if he died, she was to pay 400 to publish the work.
