    Japanese Invasion of Manchuria

    Japan was becoming overpopulated and Manchuria was their solution. Manchuria offered a lot of land which would help with the overpopulating. There was an explosion on the South Manchuria Railway to give the army an excuse to blame the locals.   • Germany and Rearmament

    Germany and Rearmament
    Hitler broke the unjust terms of the Treaty of Versailles. There was nothing that said Germany couldn't train submarine crews abroad or pilots couldn't train on civilian planes. Germany since the French didn't accept Hitler’s plan. The Germans expanded secretly. Britain, France, and Italy formed a protest against Hitler’s rearmament policy.     Italy Invades Ethiopia
    Benito Mussolini adapted Hitler’s plans to expand German territories by taking all territories it considered Germany. Italy invaded Ethiopia because they wanted to boost Italian national prestige and because of the incident at Wal-Wal Oasis.     Francisco Franco gathered a group to go against the government. The republicans fought against the conservative group led by Francisco Franco.     Anschluss
    Hitler announces the union between Germany and Austria. Austrian Chancellor Kurt compromised to put more Nazis in Austria. He made the police to free all Nazis in jail. The Austrian president, Wilhelm Miklas, rejected the pro-Nazi chancellor.     Invasion of Poland
    Hitler signed a nonaggression pact with Poland. He only signed it so he can neutralize the possibility of an alliance between the French and Poland against Germany. There were limits to the German demands in Europe. Germany invaded Poland. The Polish were defeated. More than 2,000 tanks and 1,000 planes broke through the Polish borders.     Czechoslovakia
    Hitler invaded and occupied Czechoslovakia. Hitler, Mussolini, the french, and the british signed the Munich Pact. This allowed Czechoslovakia to be handed over to Germany. Czech’s government was trying to offer anything for Hitler to not put them in danger.
