    It was passed by congress as part as the Compromise of 1850. The act declared that all runaway slaves in the north can be returned to their master in the south. The effect cause violence between slave catchers and abolitionists.

    It was series of violent political conformations. Thirty to forty anti-slavery protesters were kill; twenty to thirty pro-slavery protesters were killed. the conflict was about if kansas was going to be a free state or not.

    John Brown and several followers seize to a United States armory in Harper's Ferry. Several where killed and Brown stood trial and was found guilty. He was later hanged. To abolitionist he was a hero, but the south thought the north was tring to destory their way of life.*
