    The French and Indian War
    In the 1750's,the French and the British were fighting over the Ohio River Valley. The French and Indian war lasted 7 years. George Washington was apart of the British military.
  • The Proclamation line of 1763

    The Proclamation line of 1763
    Following the french and Indian war the British established a border to separate the colonist from the unhappy natives in the newly won western territory.
  • The stamp act

    the colonists had to put stamps on all paper idems like cort orders and even playing cards. they had to do this to prove that they payed or owned it.
  • The Sugar act

    The colonists had to pay tax for sugar and they were not happy about it. The sons of liberty were taring and killing tax collectors. The sons of liberty are going into affect!

    The colonist had to pay tax on tea, paint, glass, and paper. tax collectors borded ships to see what there cargo is.
  • The Boston Massacre

    England and the American colonies did not like each other that much because of the taxes. At about 9 o'clock at night the colonists confronted 10 British soldiers called "lobsterbacks".
  • Committees of Correspondence

    Committees of Correspondence
    Samuel Adams was the leader of the sons of liberty and founded the first Committees of Correspondence. As they communicated the 13 colonies formed a bond that would let them later become strong in the American Revolution.

    Colonists dressed up as Indians and borded the trading ship. They tossed 342 crates into the Boston harbor. They did not damage the ships to prove a point that the tea act was bad.

    A year after the Boston Tea Party, England punished the colonists by making the intolerable acts. Unlike the other acts this was not a tax based act. England sent more solders to the colonies and the colonists had to pay for the British soldiers upkeep.

    The first Continental Congress was a meeting of 12 of the 13 colonies. The meeting took place at the Carpenter's hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania early in the American Revolution.

    The colonist had over 1000 recruits, the British marched to Lexington. the first shot was known as "the shot heard around the world". the next battle was at Concord and that started the revolutionary war.
