    The French and Indian War, also known as the Seven Year's War, ended with the signing of the 1763 Treaty of Paris. The French were forced out of North America by the British.

    The Boston Massacre was a violet and deadly riot in Boston. It started as a fight between some American colonists and a British soldier, but ended with the death of five colonists killed by British soldiers because they felt threatened.

    The Boston Tea Party happened when colonists in Boston were angered by the taxes without representation, specifically the tea tax. Some colonists disguised as Mohawk Indians hopped aboard a British ship stored with tea from the British East India Company and dumped 342 chests into the Harbor.

It was placed on the Massachusetts colonists as a punishment for the Boston Tea Party.
