The End of the French and Indian War, also referred to as the Seven Years' War, ended with the French losing all of their land in the Americas, Britain gaining the land east of the Mississippi and land in Canada. This caused Britain to go into a large debt; and it is the process Britain tries to recover from this debt that leads to the American Revolution.

The Proclamation of 1763, a result of the Seven Years' War, was a document by the British Parliament that declared that colonists must stay east of the Appalachian mountains. There were already colonists settled to the west of the Appalachian mountains, so British militia tried pushing these settlers out in various ways, but the colonists stayed. The Proclamation of 1763 seemed unfair to the colonists as they helped fight to win this land.

The Boston Tea Party was a result of the Tea Act. Colonists were infuriated with being taxed without representation and took their anger out on tea. The Colonists dressed up as Mohawk Indians and dumped 342 chests of tea that belong to the British East India Company into the Boston Harbor. In result of this, the British made the Intolerable Acts.

The Intolerable Acts were made to punish the colonists. The Intolerable Acts consisted of the Boston Port Bill, Massachusetts Government Act, Administration of Justice Act, and the Quartering Act. These acts punished the Colonists by not being able to use ports, freedom in government taken away, no justice with British members, and having to forcefully show hospitality to soldiers.

The Battle of Lexington and Concord happened for many reasons, one being because the British wanted to arrest Sam Adams and John Hancock for disagreeing and rallying against British rules. The British also wanted to get weapons that were located in Concord but, the Minutemen were able to make the British retreat. This Battle was bound to happen due to unfair British rules in place from before and when it finally did, it was known as the "first military conflict of the American Revolution".
