    treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris was huge event for both The French and The British. The signing of this article was the reason why the French And Indian war ended. After signing this the French lost almost all territory in North America. The british then started to tax the colonists to help pay off the debt created by the war.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    This was one of the first taxes the British placed on the colonists. the act stated that they had to pay a 3 cent tax on sugar. it also raised the taxes of coffe, wine, and indigo. This wasn't easy for the colonists to do because of the lack of money they have because of the war. The colonists had to quarter britih soliders in their homes and feed them which costed a lot of money thus leaving them in a state of economis ruin after the war.

    The currency act made it illegal to create paper money in the british colonies. Parliament passed this act because they felt as if it was an attemp to break free of british currency and to start their own country without britain's approval.

    The second major act passed by parliament in Britain was the stamp act. This made the colonists pay a tax on any printed paper. Some things they had to pay taxes on were legal documents, newspapers, and even playing cards. They had to pay this taxes because of the debt caused by giving shelter and defending the british soliders
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
    The Townshend acts were a series of acts passed by Parliament right after the repeal of the Stamp Act. They were passed onto the colonies as revenue on goods such as paints paper and tea. But the colonist were against the acts and boycotted British goods. The act was eventually repealed.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was event where many colonists started a riot with British soldiers after the many taxes put on the colonies. The soldiers replied with force and killed 5 people while injuring 8 others. All soldiers were put on trial but only 2 convicted of murder
  • Tea Acts

    An act passed by Parliament where tea from East India Company being sent to colonies for bargain deals. But the Townshend act was still in place. Leading colonist to believe it was a ploy for more support in taxes. The colonist in Philadelphia made the ship turn around with the product of tea.

    The Boston Tea Party was a major event to the start of the American Revolution. Massachusetts Patriots mad at the tea act made a plan. They dressed up as Native Americans a snuck upon a ship full of tea and threw it overboard in the middle of the night.

    Many British Companies and people mass amounts of money after the Boston Tea Party. So in retaliation they past the Intolerable act on the colonies. They punishments were no use of the docs and shipping of goods,no public meetings, and military rule was imposed. All in hoping the colonies would fall back under the kings rule.
  • First Contiental Congress

    First Contiental Congress
    The first Contiental Congress was a meeting of 12 colonies to talk about the intolerable acts. Georgia was the only colony who didn't send a delegate to the congress. This congress was held in secret because they did not want the british to know aboiut it. They came up with a plan to boycott all british goods. They also signed a petition stating that the Intolerable acts were unfair and should be repealed.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    Finally there is the Battle of Lexington and Concord the first battle of the American Revolution. The British army is deploed from boston to search for weapns and to arrest John Hancock and Samuel Adams. Along the way to concord almost 4,000 colonist attack the group. This was the start of a Rvolution.
