The French and Indian war

They are looking for cheap land Dinwity and George Washington were evolved. The conflict lasted 7 years. The British win the war and it is very bloody.

Proclamathion of 1763

Following the French and Indian war the British parliament established a border aligned with the appellation mountains that separates the Colonists from unhappy natives in the west. In the order to control war debt it became illegal for Colonists to cross the border. This proclamation made Colonists very angry.

The sugar act

A tax put on sugar to help pay for thee debt caused by the war. British need more money and are taking it from the colonists but they are also mad that they helped the British in the war and are given this in return.

The stamp act

Mar 22, 1765

The stamp act was used` to support British troops stationed in the colonies to protect the colonists. The colonists rebelled because they didn't believe they should pay for the troops when they also helped the British fight and win the war.

Townshend act

Jun 26, 1767

They placed tax's on imported goods that were going to the colonists. All of England and the Americas was involved. They get rid of this act to only bring it back later.

Boston Massacre

Colonists verse British the Colonist were antagonizing the British troops and one Colonist yelled fire and the troops fired thinking that the commander said that.

Committees of correspondence

It was a (government) system that information would be passed along through the 13 colonies. It was also used to show how the colonies were going to rebel against the British.

The Boston tea party

Colonists dressed as Indians get onto British boats they dumped 342 crates into the Boston harbor and also cleaned up the ship when they were done.

Intolerable acts

this act is to punish the colonist for the involvement in the Boston tea party including closing the harbor to importing goods and the lose of so many jobs.

The first continental congress

This is the first time all 13 colonies meet up to discuses about how to fix there problems and make peace with the British.

Battles of Lexington and Concord

Colonists vs. British in few fights first it is 60 colonists vs. a few hundred British troops(8 kia 10 wia colonists) the second battle the colonists win with over 1,000 troops and it makes the British troops retreat back to Boston.
