    The treaty of Paris ended the French and indian war, or the seven years war. The colonists won the land past the Appalation mountains. However, they were not allowed to cross the mountains because of the goverment. Which takes us to The Proclamation of 1763.

    This document was from the king and it stated that the colonists could not cross the apalation moutains. They were kept from doing this because they would get killed by indians. Of course, the colonists didnt know this and the king didn't tell them, so they were angry because they just won that land.
  • Stamp Act

    The stamp act of 1765 helped to pay off the French Indian war. Colonists were taxed for everything that had paper. They just basically taxed everything, because most everything had paper on it. However, the colonists weren't included in making this descision. So they got mad because of taxation without representation.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    The Quarting Act housed soldiers in homes of the colonists. The colonists had to provide the troops with food, beer, bedding, utensils, candles, and firewood. The Quartering Act sent military to live with and protect the colonists and in some cases, spy on them.

    Boston citizens began taunting and fighting with British soldiers. They were fighting because the colonists were mad about the quartering act and decided to make a propoganda. One soldier scaredly fired into the crowd and this left 7 dead and more than 10 wounded.

    Years after the Boston Massacre the Tea Act came in to order. This put a tax on tea and took away the ability for other companies to sell tea. John Hancock was one of the richest people in the colonies at this point. He owned a shipping company and was mad when they took away tea.
  • Boston Tea party

    In reaction to the tea act, colonists dressed up like indians and threw tea into the Boston Harbor. They used up to 3 milliom dollars worth of tea.
