French and Indian War
• The French and Indian War occurred because the Natives were unhappy, they had to cooperate or else. The English have less money, debt, less people, and less resources because of this war. But there was a huge gain in land/territory. -
Proclamation of 1763
• The Proclamation of 1763 had to happen because Colonists and Natives were constantly fighting over the territory and they needed to stop it. The British had a hard time within the war. Once he put this line in place people ignored it and it was useless. -
Life in the Colonies
• Lives in the Colonies were good. Most people were happy. They had freedom but slavery took place and not all were happy about that. The cities were also very smelly and noisy. -

• The Quartering Act was a law that was used to help pay for the troops. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was when the government needed money to pay for the wars, so they decided to create taxes on every document they own. The colonists were upset because they had no say in the law and thought it was unfair. -

• The Townshend Duties was a series of laws passed since 1767. The purpose was to help pay the salaries of every important person in the colonies. This was created by the Parliament of Great Britain and it was relating to the British colonies in North America -
Boston Massacre
• The Boston Massacre was created because the colonists were upset about taxes. The men were losing their jobs. Colonists and British had a fight and people were killed. But because of this, the king removed all of the taxes accept on tea. -
Tea Act/ Boston Tea Party
The Tea Act was when the colonists went onto the ship and dumped all of the tea into the ocean. The colonists destroyed this tea on December 16, 1773. This occurred because they wanted to prove a point to the British. -
Intolerable Acts
• The Intolerable Acts were laws that were created because of the Tea Act. They were very angry because they wasted all of that tea, and because they were so mad, the laws were very “Harsh”. -
Battles of Lexington and Concord
• The Battle of Lexington and Concord was a very unexpected win. The Colonists didn’t want to fight. But the first shot was unknown by which side, they fought. And the colonists over took the British and won the war. -
Battle of Bunker Hill/ Siege of Boston
The Americans attacked and shot from a high hill not Bunker Hill but Breeds Hill which led them easily to victory -
