    -Igor Guezenko was a cipher clerk for the USSR Embassy to Canada
    -Guezenco exposed Russia's efforts to steal nuclear secrets and the tecknique of planting sleeper agents in exchange for the protection of his family
    -He benefited Canada in significant way and put the USSR into a more vulnerable position in the Cold War

    -The Soviet Union tried to stop the supply to west Berlin by using a blockade -The Soviet Union's goal was to eliminate western supply to Berlin and allow the USSR more individual control of the city. -The design had failed however and allied countries including as the U.S. and Britain began to send in necessities by airplane.

    -Egyptian Force took control of the Suez Canal on the border of Egypt annd Israel.
    -France, Britain, and Israel attacked Egypt for control of the Canal. -It shattered the unity of the Western alliance. -Threatened to engulf the Middle East in a wide scale war. -NATO was contributing to international conflict. -The Soviet Union threatened to aid Egypt.

    • Kennedy created a naval blockade around Cuba to stop U.S.S.R delievery ships from delievering weapons to Cuba
    • Canada wanted inspectors to inspect missile sites, but Americans went along with their plan instead.
