    Korean War
    The Korean WAr was a war against South and North Korea. Canada and the USA were fighting on the side of South Korea. Canada sent troops as United Nation soldiers. At the end of the war it was a stalemate.
  • Suez Crisis

    Suez Crisis
    The suez crisis was a war with egypt on one side and Britain, France and Israel on the other side. Canada did not fight in this battle but rather we put troops in the middle of the two armies as a peace keeping army and did not fight on any side. In the end Canada made peace with their strategy and got a noble peace prize.

    the cuban missile crisis was a threat that the USSR was putting on the USA by putting missiles with nuclear warheads were put into Cuba. Canada was not told of this and we were quite upset. being their neighbour u think they would tell us u have a chance of getting bombed but instead they didn't say anything. At the end of it nothing serious happened but the US and Cuba hated eachother.

    The battle cyprus was a battle between turkish and greece over the island of cyprus. Paratroopers and bombers were sent out by each side. Canada again sent troops as peace keepers to prevent a war. At the end we prevented another war and kept the peace.
  • Vietnam War

    The Vietnam war was a war between North and South Vietnam. North Vietnam was supported by the Soviet Union, China and other communist allies. South Vietnam was supported by the United States and other anti-communist allies. Canada did not fight or try to make peace in the Vietnam war as we thought it was a useless fight. Instead we let refugee that wanted to escape the war come to Canada and they lived in camps with there families until the war was over.

    Yugoslavia
    Slovenia and Croatia declared there independence in 1991. Fighting started between the serbs, the bosniaks and the croats. The UN started a peacekeeping mission called the UNPROFOR in sarejevo. The UN forces faced a full scale civil war and Canadian troops were attacked by the Croats. Eventually the Croats left the region.

    The war at Samalia was a war at Samaolia. Canada sent 900 soldiers to Samalia to fight against inturders. At the end of the war there was military changes but nothing great.
  • Rwanda

    Rwanda
    The conflict at Rwanda was between the Tutsi and Hutu people. The Hutu have won the election and right after 20,000 tutsi people were killed and another 300,000 had fled. The UN set up UNAMIR. (United Nations Assistance Mission For Rwanda) It had a very weak response and instead the
    UN sent peace keeping forces.
