    Integration review!
Today in class we went over basic integration techniques including integration by parts and partial fractions. I think for my own practice I should look up the Tabular method; I have a hunch it will be useful on the AP. We also went over L'Hopital's Rule. Weird fact:

  • Practice Test Review

    Practice Test Review
Today in class, we went over the practice test we took a few weeks ago. My overall score was 79, and this makes me optimistic that I will do well on the AP. I noticed that most of my errors were silly mistakes, so I'll be sure to read carefully on test day. Some things I should work on are elaborating my explanations for the free response, and continuing to memorize weird trig formulas. Weird fact of the day:
1 out of 20 people have an extra rib.
  • Taylor Series Practice

    Taylor Series Practice
Today in class we completed a worksheet with Taylor Series practice problems. I think it went pretty smoothly overall, and I feel more confident in my ability to work with sums, series, and ways to test convergence and divergence. Only one week until the AP!!!! Weird Fact:
    Porcupines float in water!
  • Integration Review: Volume

    Integration Review: Volume
Today in class we went over the Disk, Washer, and Shell methods used in finding volume. I remember these from AB calc, and I feel confident that if I were to come across this type of problem on the AP, I would be able to sucessfully answer it. My only concern with this is when cross sections are part of the problem. But I believe that as long as I know the formulas for areas of certain shapes, then I will be successful. Weird fact:
the ice cream cone was invented in 1904.
  • Post-Test Thoughts

    Post-Test Thoughts
Overall, I think the AP test went pretty well. As of right now, I'm not fixating on the errors I made, although I did miss a few multiple choice and number six on the free response. But I am confident in my work, and especially in the fact that I was careful to show all my steps and label answers with appropriate units. My justifications were clear and conscise. I'm hoping I scored a 5, but I think my work was at least worthy of a 4.
