The submarine had a big impact of World War I by being able to sink enemy ships and making them intimidated. Submarines have also been good for American society by making it easier to do underwater research on anything from species from the sea to sunken ships. With war, we are able to get into the enemy’s mind and make them wonder about even taking ships out on the waters because submarines could be anywhere and the enemy wouldn’t see them. -

The optical telegraph was the first reliable way of long distance communication before phones and computers were invented. If the optical telegraph was never created we would not have the cell phones and social networking sites we have today. This was an important invention in America because we all need some way to communicate with others, especially when they are far away. The airplane was a great invention because it made traveling to places all around the world way faster than it would take in a car or of course a horse and buggy. Airplanes helped stop forest fires, fertilize crops in an easier and timely manner, and revolutionized warfare. I am glad airplanes were invented because without them I wouldn't have gotten the chance to see some of the places I have gotten to see. -

The educational videos that are put onto YouTube can be very helpful and sometimes make it fun and a lot easier for students to learn. Of course, we can’t forget about all of the funny videos out there that we can’t resist showing all of our friends and watching just to get a laugh out of them. YouTube is a very good example of different opportunities people have to learn and follow their dreams. -

YouTube has had a huge impact on American society today by giving talented people a chance to show others what they have to offer to the world, giving teachers a way to teach their students in ways other than textbooks and lectures, and even giving a person something to laugh at or smile about on bad days. YouTube has opened up a lot of doors for the entertainment business with everyone doing covers of popular songs and sometimes even audition tapes.
