Parents

Leonardo had a different family history his father had a regular back round, but not much was known about his mother. The only thing that we know about her was that her name was Caterina. However his father was named Ser Perio and he was a notary like Learnarods grandfather. His parents were never married.

Birth

On April 15, 1452 Leanardo Ser Piero was born at approximately 10:30 in the small town of Vinci. We know the time because of his grandfather Antiono who was a successful notary. This was found in his journal, which also contained the name of the priest who baptized Leonardo and ten people who were at the baptism.

Leanordo da Vinci was a man who lived in italy from 1452 to 1519. during his time he was a succful painter, sclupter, and inventor. When Leanardo would write in his note book he would ofter write upside down or backwards so no one else could read it. Not much was known on Leanardo his notebooks only had drawings and inventin ideas, most of what we know about him came from other sources

As a child Leonardo had a notebook in which he recorded his thoughts. Historians believe that he gained his interest in flight because in one entry he wrote about a hawk flying down and hitting him on the lips repeatedly.

Apprentice ship

At the age of 14 Leonardo went to Florence Italy to be an apprentice to Andrea del Verrocchio, who was a famous painter at the time and had knew his father.

Collage

At the age of 20 Leonardo is accepted into the painters guild of Florence. Other famous painters also joined the guild in 1472 such as Sandro Botticelli and Pietro Perugino.

Baptism of Christ

Leonardo begins to create the painting known as the "Baptism of Christ". It is his first known painting and it reached completion around 1473.

Sodomy

On April 16 Leonardo is accused of sodomy with a man, the charges against him were dropped on June 16A man named Sigmund Freud (physiologist) was the first on to diagnose da Vinci about being a homosexual. Although some others have also thought this most biographers doubt this and it. rarly shows in books.

Adoration of the Magi

In 1481 the pope commissions Leonardo to paint the Adoration of the Magi, but it was never finished.

Milan

Learnardo moved from Florence, Italy to Milan, Italy.

Anatomy

Apr 30, 1490

Around 1490 Leonardo begins to study the Anatomy, which is the study of the human body.

Last Supper

Apr 30, 1494

In 1494 sometime around spring or summer Leonardo Starts one of his most famous paintings the Last Supper which is a picture of Jesus and his disciples at the last supper.

Flying Machine

Apr 30, 1500

Leonardo Begins to build the first flying machine after being astonished with the idea of human flight. After his first try failed he tried later in 1505.

Mona Lisa

Apr 30, 1505

In 1505 Leonardo begins to work on his most famous painting the Mona Lisa. it is unknown how long it took him to finish the painting but when he was painting it he would roll it up and put it in his backpack when he left home.

Death

May 2, 1519

In May Leonardo died in Amboise France. The cause of death is unknown but we do know that his health was not very good. He died at the age of 67 and had many achievements in his life.
