After the War ended, many people were going on strikes. On May 1 1919, A socialist leader led people through Clevland, Ohio. There were many assasinations and death, along with people going on strike. Many arrests were made, and many people died at this awful date in time. -

The KKK was a purification movement, that went against all types of crimes. -
Women's Suffrage
Women were allowed to vote on this day. Women were getting the same rights men were getting. -
The Beginning of the Great Depression
The Federal government took an increase role in business afairs. The president at the time died on a cruise, and the vice president, Calvin Cooledge, took his place. He saw a future of the end of poverty in America. A year after his election, the stock market crashed, and the nation's economy slipped downward into the Great Depression -

The United States became more "anti-immigration", the Immigration Act of 1924, limited the amount of immigrants allowed in America. -
The Jazz Age
The Jazz age brought many different things cultural wise. The "Flapper" was introduced through this age, an outfit women would wear. New dances, and celebrities were recognized more. Movie stars became more famous, night clubs became a thing. -

"Black Thursday", was the day known when the Stock market crashed, which started the GD. All world wide, there was depression to be found, which led to deflation and many people lost their jobs.Rain was very rare, farmers couldn't pay anything, if there was no rain; there's no crops. -

The Neutrality Acts were passed by the United States Congress in the 1930s, in response to the growing turmoil in Europe and Asia that eventually led to World War II. -
Economy Act
On the morning after the "Emergency Banking Act," Roosevelt sent Congress the Economy Act, which was made to convince the public, and the business community, that the federal government was in the hands of nothing "radical". The act was supposed to balance the federal budget by cutting the salaries o government employees. -

Recovery of the Depression
The Great Depression brought many troubles. Loss of job was one of them, people starved, the economy was down. -

American troops met up with Soviet marching into Germany. The whole nation over-all was turned into a vast war-machine. This affected society more than usual, more than the other American conflict, like the Civil War. Roosevelt re-won the term, then rapidly got sick. He passed on April 12. -
Atomic Bombing in Japan
Japan was bombed with an Atomic bomb, used by the U.S.which shortly later ended World War 2. -
End of an Era
World Wars ended, and the U.S., made sure there would be no future world wars.
