  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    The Battle of Lexington was as a very small battle lead by captain John Parker. The Americans fled from Lexington, the british marched to Concord. The Americans fought and the British fled.
  • Siege of Ticonderoga

    St. Clair saw the British had large guns on top of Mount Defiance, so he knew he had no chance to keep the fort. He retreated and gace it to the British.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Boston was being besieged by thousands of American militia. British were trying to control the city and valuable sea ports.
  • Battle of Trenton

    Geoge Washington crossed the Delware River north of Trenton and lead the army. After the lost at New York George Washington wanted to win a war.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    Burgoyne had a plan to defeat the American Colonies. The first battle was the Freeman's farm on Sept. 19, 1777. The battle had the British surrendering.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    General Washington moved south and the Freanch defeated a British fleet. The end of the battle led to peace treaty that acknowlegdged the independence of the American states
