The Aztecs also knew how to fish and hunt, so they also provided themselves with the things that they got from fishing or hunting. Since the Aztecs were very good at doing many things they thought that they would be able to have their own state, and maybe an empire.

    Still in 1519 Cortes was training his men to fight the Aztec group. Cortes was training 400 men. They were then led into Mexico, aided by a native women. The native women’s name was Malinche, she served as a translator. Then Cortes was able to form alliances with the Aztecs.

    In November 1519 Cortes and his men arrived in Tenochtitlan, where Montezuma and his people greeted them as honored guests according to Aztec. Even though the Aztecs greeted the Spanish nicely the Aztecs were still protective with themselves by keeping their weapons close by. As soon as Cortes got there they started gaining control. Then the Spanish murdered the Aztecs during a dance ceremony. Finally the very few standing Aztec people kicked out the Spanish.

    In 1521 there was maybe around 50 Aztecs left. Most of the Aztecs were either sick or hurt and it was then hard for them to do anything because they got "robed". The Aztecs didn't have much left.
