Capital as well as Chicago's 1893 Columbian Exposition.He helped with the rise of the 19th century wealth status with upgrades. In order to to upgrade to the wealth status, you have to have individuals help to create this idea, and Mr. Frederick did just this.

The woman(Lilly Martin Spencer) designed this photo of a woman who is dolled up with many expensive belongings. This was another way to show wealth in the 19th century. During this time as well, bright colors were in style and Lilly Spencer made that happen with her art work.

Many were journalists, photographers and illustrators. they were apart of the American realism group as well. These men focused more on poor, immigrants, as well as gamblers. They wanted to show what is going on in the real world or the urban existence. many individuals enjoyed seeing the real life photos.

    When Ashcan came about, there were many critics when it came to the art of the school. The school itself was only around for a few decades but still remains to be very important in our times now. The American Realism Movement was greatly impacted when the Ashcan school was in play, it sparked a fire with in others especially when it was in the time period when individuals did not have a choice about what they were painting or liked. This has broken the barrier for artists today.
