    On December 17 2010, a young fruit farmer started his dream as selling food on the streets. The police took food from him, denied him a permit, and kicked him out. He was so angry and depressed that he set himself on fire in the middle of the street. Someone caught this tragic event on Facebook and grew viral causing multiple riots.

    Protests begin breaking out mid febuary following the events in Tunisia. This caused a spark which caused revolts and huge riots against Libya's leader Colonel Muammar Gaddafi. He however did not act peacefully and used brutal force to try and stop the citizens.

This was do to the messed up leader Bashar Al-Assad he militarized police telling them these people were "Terrorists and armed gangs" All these protesters want is no more government corruption and more support for the poor people of the country.

    Former president Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali was locked up for 35 years accompanied by his wife in a court in Tunis. This was a great step closer to democracy in the middle east.

    In September of 2011 Yemen's president Ali Abdullah Saleh unleashed a vicious attack on the citizens of Yemen. A large riot broke out on the streets and he struck back with overwhelming force. Snipers set up points on the roof tops and fired down below at the citizens, they even have some aircraft shell the people below. In the end 50 People died and 600 were injured.

    Egypt is now making a slightly smooth transition to democracy. Some people obviously are not very happy but your gonna get that in every country. Egypt officially had its first parliamentary assembly in January of 2012.

    On the 27th of February president Ali Abdullah Saleh stepped down from his stance as president. He said that he would quit as long he was promised no Jail time in return everyone agreed and he left immediately.
