Countdown Resumed at T-3 Hours 30 Minutes.
After a couple of holds in the countdown, the clock for liftoff resumed at T-3 hours 30 minutes. -
Liftoff
The spacecraft had a flawless liftoff but ended up having technical issues after exiting Earth's orbit. -
TV Transmission
The crew of Apollo 13 did their first live broadcast from the spacecraft. -
Earth Weather Photography Started and Ended
The Apollo 13 crew were taking pictures of the Earth while they were out on their expedition. -
Cryogenic Tank #2 Starts Malfunctioning
After a short circuit occurred, the second cryogenic tank malfunctions leading to an explosion which made the spacecraft to tumble out of control. -
Emergency Power-Down
The crew had to shutdown all of the systems due to the huge leak in the oxygen tanks in order to preserve the oxygen. -
Splashdown
A recovery team which consisted of a ship and a helicopter came out to retrieve the crew of Apollo 13 shortly after splashdown. -
Crew Arrived in Hawaii
After getting picked up by the recovery team, the crew of Apollo 13 were safely brought to Hawaii.
