This shows diminishing progress because it was the first actual law that descriminated against blacks. Which means that it gave whites more rights than blacks had. It was basicly taunting blacks and saying: "haha, us whites are better 'cause we get free guns!" It also made slaves insecure and afraid of whites.

Anthony Johnson was a slave who was shipped all across the world and who ended up in the Jamestown colony. the then worked as a slave for 20 years until he bought his ans his wife's freedom and became a sucessful plantation owner.

This is an example of diminishing progress because this is saying that slaves lives don't matter. It is saying that these slaves aren't as good as us and we deserve to choose weather you die or live. It causes that they live in fear and are powerless.

This is an example of diminishing progress because it means that non-whites cannot have as many oppertunities as whites. It will make it so as soon as they become a plantation they will fail and become slaves again. It will make them more dependant on whites.

This is an example of diminishing progress because this causes that non-Christian kids will not be able to enjoy freedom as long as christian kids, and they will become property earlier.

This is an example of diminshing progress because this is overly punished for stealing one hog. This is saying that non-whites are inferrior to whites and cannot do what whites can do.

Anthony Johnson and his family were discriminated against in these times of Diminishing Progress. But he and his family withstood all the limited rights as a mighty stone against an oncoming tempest, firm and unmoving.
