Old Major, a prize winnning bore calls a meeting for all the animals on the Manor farm to meet in the barn. Here he tells them all about his dream where animals rule and no humans are ever around to comtrol them. Old Major convinces them to all work together for this goal.

Three days after his meeting Old Major dies, but because he made this idea sound so great three pigs named Snowball, Napoleon, and Squealer formulate his main principles into a philosophy called Animalism.

Late one night, the animals manage to defeat the farmer Mr. Jones in a battle which ended with him running him off the land. They renamed the property Animal Farm and dedicate themselves to achieving Major’s dream.

Mr. Jones reappears to take back his farm, the animals defeat him again, in what comes to be known as the Battle of the Cowshed,.

Snowball concocts a scheme to build an electricity-generating windmill and then the puppies that Napoleon had confiscated in order to “educate”—burst into the barn and chase Snowball from the farm

Napoleon assumes leadership of Animal Farm and declares that there will be no more meetings. From that point on, he asserts, the pigs alone will make all of the decisions—for the good of every animal.

All the animals get together and finish the wind mill.

A storm comes and ruins the wind mill but Napolen convinces everyone that it was snowball.

Napolen now is threating to kill anyone who questions is power

Napolen starts acting more like a human by sleeping in a bed, so now comandment 6 has now been changed.

Napolen gets drunk and now wants barley grown.

Napolen starts engaging in trade with neighboring farmers

Mr. Frederick, a neighboring farmer, cheats Napoleon in the purchase of some timber and then attacks the farm and dynamites the windmill

After the demolition of the windmill, the animals get into another battle but this time Boxer gets badly hurt.

Squealer tells everyone Boxer has died in peace after having been taken to the hospital,but actually Napoleon has sold his most loyal and hard working follower to the glue factory for beer money :(

Pigs progress to be more and more human like.

Napolen changes the name of the farm back to the Manor Farm, and now you can no longer tell who is a pig or a human.
