Jackson was very much against Native Americans. When gold was founded in Georgia, in the land of the Indians, he asked congress to pass the Indian Removal Act. The Native Americans were forced to move, going on the Trail of Tears.

Georgia passed a law saying no one can live in Indian territory, unless they have a warrant. A missionary, Samuel Worcester was sent to jail for living in their land. Worcester won the case.

Because of the high Tariff of 1828, South Carolina threatened to secede from the union. Henry Clay came up with a compromise, so the tariff lowers over ten years.

Jackson abolished the National Bank, and separated the money between the states. Economic problems caused the banks to close, and everyone was worried they would loose their money.
