  • Jacksons Birth

    Was born in rural south carolina in 1767. Recieved no formal education. At age 13 he was captured by the British troops and the general told him to shine his boots during the battle of hanging rock. he refused and was struck with the flat side of a saber, and that was the beggining of his forever hatredf toward the british.
  • Jackson enlists in the Revolutionary war

    When jackson was 13 he started to hate the british for capturing him and beating him so when he was around 16 he enlisted in the revolutionary army and thats when he started to get involved in wars and the British and what not.
  • Batttle of horshoe bend

    On march 27,1814 Andrew jackson took a huge step in American History and defeated the "Red Stick Warriors" in the battle of Horshoe bend, in Alabama. This was a major win for Andrew Jackson because it was the first step toward the White house and becoming Pres. And this was his main goal.
  • Battle of New Orleans

    Battle of New Orleans
    The last war of 1812 the Americans won the battle of new orleans and gained their confidence back. Nobody really considered Napolean Bonaparted a general but if the british had won they would have. This victory made Jackson a hero and very respected by the soldiers.

    Started january 1816 and ended january 1832 the a twenty year term the second Bank of America was up and running and Andrew jackson didnt like the Bank at all he wanted to demolish it and absolutly kill it off because he thought it would make America weak and vulnerable.

    The Election of 1824 clearly showed that the "era of good feelings was clearly over. All of the candidates were Democratic-republicans. The candidates were John Quincy adams, Henry clay, Andrew jackson, Williams H crawford, and John c Calhoun.

    This was also known as the "Corrupt Bargain". Because Andrew Jackson didnt win the election and John Quincy Adams won and appointed Henry clay to speaker of the House of representatives. So Jackson called this a Corrupt Bargain.

    In sept 1831 Samuel A Worcester was sent into court for going within the limits of the Cherokkes boundaries when he wasnt supposed to. And he didnt take the oath tostay within the limits so they mde an act that the state needs to protect the cherokke from other people.

    Nullification is the border of a Federal law. South Carolina passed a Nullification law in 1832. This was designed by Thomas jefferson and james Madison. This Crisis was accepted in England in 1814.
