    Andrew Jackson was born in America to Irish colonists, Andrew and Elizibeth.
  • Battle of Horseshoe Bend

    Battle of Horseshoe Bend
    Andrew Jackson was pursuing Indians during the war of 1812 when he encoutered the very Indians he was seeking. He won a crushing victory forcing the Indians to surrender.
  • Battle of New Orleans

    British troops invaded New Orleans with the intention of capturing that important port and taking over all of the Louisianna Purchase. Unfortunatley for the British, Andrew jackson and the American troops stopped them ending the war of 1812.

    John Quincy Adams won this election with 84 electoral votes. John Quincy is the son of former president John Adams. Quincy had a fairly uneventful presidency.

    A federal case in which it was argued wether or not the need of a license to live on certain land is unconstitutional. The government had a set a law that said that for a white to live on Indian land they needed a license.
  • Bank War

    This was the struggle between President Andrew Jackson and President of the Bank of the United States, Nicholas Biddle. Eventually Jackson closed the bank, as was his want.
