Andrew Jackson won popular vote but no candidate won majority vote, because the constitution requires a candidate to one majority vote and no one did The House of Representatives chooses the president. Henry Clay won and scammed the presidential election with the help of another candidate John Adams. As a result Clay people didn't support his presidency and he never got anything done because he never agreed with the people.

    In 1828 congress passed a high protective tariff on manufactured goods from Europe.As a result Northern manufactured goods became more expensive,which the south didn't like.South Carolina didn't like the tariff and decided to nullify the tariff so they didn't have to pay.And if the government tried to interfere then they would cede from the nation. Jackson threatened south Carolina by passing the Force Bill allowing them to take tariff duties.South Carolina accepted the tariff and compromised.

The Cherokee tribe doesn't want to move so they got to court .The courts decision was that Cherokee Indians had a right to stay on their land because of the treaties the U.S. had with them. But Jackson ignore the decision and forces them off the land which leads to the tail of tears.
