A few weeks later, the court ended up ruling in Georgia’s favor, and the Indians continued to be removed from Georgia along the Trail of Tears.

    The Nullification Crisis occured between July 1832 and March 1833. These were brought about because protective tariffs that were established via the Tariffs of 1828 and 1832 and hurt South Carolina’s economy and therefore caused them to declare the tariffs void in the state. The country opposed this, and so Henry Clay proposed a compromise: the South would have reduced tariffs but were still subject to federal law.

    Andrew Jackson was opposed to a National Bank, so he made many actions, specifically in 1833, to stop it. He contradicted many bank supporters such as Alexander Hamilton and vetoed the charter renewal in 1832. The bank’s charter officially expired in 1836.
