    In 1754 the French and Indian war began. It happened because French began to build forts on lake Eerie and the ohio river to back their claim on land as did the Virginia colony this sparked the war, things grew tense and in 1754 Britian declared war on france
  • Battle of Quebec

    Battle of Quebec
    4,000 Brtish soldiers defeated 4,500 French soldiers. After the loss of Quebec French soldiers could no longerdefend the rest of North America. Which resulted in Britian owning most of North America.
  • Pontiacs attak

    Pontiac and his allies attaked British forts 2,000 British settlers were killed and a half dozen were destroyed. How this came about was Pontiac formed alliance with Western indians. The Britsh settlers reacted vicously and even killed indians who were not even involved.

    Forbid colonial settlement settlement west of on the Appalachian. This act was enforced by British to make sure that another war would not start due to land arguments between colonists and Indians. Colonists were angered and for the most part ignored the new law.

    What the sugar act did was put taxes on products and had fierce punishments for smugglers. It happened because Britian was thinking of ways to make up for the debt that happened due to the war. As a result the colonies became more united in trieng to form a boycott.

    : Britain forced colonists to house British soldiers with food shelter and other living needs. The purpose was to save money and not have to pay for housing for the soldiers. Colonists felt that parliament had violated their right and it eventually resulted in a protest.

    The stamp act: The 1765 stamp act was passed by parliament. What it did was put a special tax on various products and activities. There were many protests about the stamp act. Eventfully in 1766 parliament repealed the stamp act.

    Boston Massacre: in March of 1770 an angry crowd of Boston residents surrounded a small group of British soldiers. Americans threw rocks and snowball. The frightened soldiers fired a few shots. This happened because British soldiers were manning colonies under king’s orders. Later on there was a trial and the British men were found guilty.

    The tea act: In 1773 British parliament passed the tea act that forced a tax on tea. It was created to help the British east India Company. This resulted in the Boston tea party. Eventually the act was repealed.

    Boston Tea Party: In 1773 the sons of liberty and colonists organized a boycott. They disguised themselves as Native Americans and dumped tea out of the ship. This happened because the Americans felt that the tea act was a violation of their rights and wanted to change that. What followed was the Boston governor closed the port of Boston.

    In 1775 General Braddok's troops were ambushed. This unfortunate event happened because General Braddok was an english general and did not understand American military tacticts. Bejamin Franklin tried to warn him about the dangers of ambushes but general Braddok ignoredhim. Frankly general Braddok did not respect any of the colonial society. As a result General graddok was ambushed and died.

    Shot heard around the world: In 1775 seventy-seven minute men were waiting when British approached. The British ordered for the Americans to leave and when they refused, a shot was fired this was known as the shot hear around the world.

    The Americans surrounding Boston were mostly farmers and workers. They knew that there was a small chance of their mixed army beating the British. On the battle of Bunker hill Americans opened fired when British were 150 feet away British did not succeed until there third try due to lack of ammunition.

    Treaty of Paris: Britain had finally recognized America as an independent country and in 1783 congress approved of the treaty and the war was over. The main reason for the war ending was money reasons on British sides and the long length of the war. The colonists were joyful for being and independent country, except for some loyalists that felt unsafe.
