  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    The French and Indian War was between Great Britain and the French and Indians. It is also known as the Seven Year War though it was nine years. In this war they were fighting for land in North America. This made Great Britain be in debt even though they won.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    Parliament made a law stating that colonists were not allowed to settle on land west of the Appalachin Mountains. Parliament kept this land for the Native Americans. This was to keep colonists in areas that were easier to control. It also angered the colonists.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    Parliament made another act against the colonists which made them pay taxes. This was on sugar and molasses. Parliament wanted the colonists to pay taxes on the stuff which were more often bought, such as molasses which made rum. This also made Guadaloupe, Martinique, and Santa Domingo all importent places for lumber, flour, cheese and assorted farm products.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act required colonists to buy and put stamps on paper products. Parliament made this act because they needed more money and were in debt from the French and Indian War. This was one of the events that made colonists angry and led to the Revolutionary War. The Sons of Liberty were also formed by this.

    Townshend Acts
    The Townshend Acts was an act for granting certain duties and to put tax on glass, paint, oil, lead, paper, and tea. It was between the colonist and the British. The British made this act on the colonists as an alternitive for the Stamp Act. This resulted in the Boston Massacre.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was a fight because of Parliaments acts. It was between British soldiers and the colonists. This was because the colonists hated Parliament. During the Boston Massacre five people died including Crispus Attuck. This event also led to the American Revolution.
  • The Tea Act

    The Tea Act
    This was a tax act which Parliament made for the colonists. King George the third took tax out of all items except for tea. He wanted to show the colonists that Parliament still had power to place taxes. This led to the Boston Tea Party.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    In this event Patriots disguised themselves as Mohawk Indians and dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor.They did this on a ship. The colonists did it because they were angry with the king for making tax laws, such as the tea act. This made Parliament close the Boston Harbor for all colonists and Patriots until they paid for the tea.
  • The Intolerable Acts

    The Intolerable Acts
    The Intolerable Acts was between Parliament and the colonists. Parliament wanted the colonists to repay for the Boston Tea Party and the Boston Massacre. Parliament was angry at the colonists and couldn't tolerate it. This made the colonists matter.
  • The Ride of Paul Revere

    The Ride of Paul Revere
    Paul Revere on his horse rode out to warn the Militia and the colonists that the British troops were coming. He road from Lenxington to Concord. This made everybody ready and prepared. Paul Revere's ride made many colonists survive and saved many lives.
