  • French and Indian War

    French and Indian War
    It was the war between France and Great Britian. Great Britian gains Canada but spends a huge amount of money on the war. Britian wanted the American colonies to pay part of the price of the war, which made them impose more taxes on the colonists.

    It was a tax that the british put on the american colonies that required them ot pay a tax on every paper they used and the paper had to have a stamp on it. It fueled the fire of the hate that the colonists felt for the British.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    Colonists attacked a grouup of British soldiers who were guarding a customs house. Now the Americans thought that the British soldiers were going around killing Americans.

    The tea act requored colonists to buy their tea only from the British East Indian Company, which underminds many local merchants. Colonists dressed as native americans boarded ships in the harbor adn dumped the tea overboard.

    The Intolerable Acts was the American Patriots' name for a series of punitive laws passed by the British Parliament in 1774 after the Boston Tea party. They were meant to punish the Massachusetts colonists for their defiance in throwing a large tea shipment into Boston harbor.
