    on November 3, 1774, the ship Britannia arrived in Charleston Harbor from London,England. The ship was carrying passengers and seven chests of East Indian tea. Apparently there was a mischievous drug on board. The thee Charleston Merchants, who were said to have put the drug on the ship, were forced to drop all seven chests of tea overboard. This was in response to the Tea Act.
