    The Battle of Lexington and Concord took place on April 19th, 1775 throughout the road between Boston and Concord, Massachusetts. The Battle of Lexington and Concord was the battle to start the Revolutionary War. The famous question on what side was the first to shoot; originates from this battle.

    The battle of Bunker Hill took place on June 17, 1775, near Boston, Massachusetts and was one of the early battles for the American Revolution. The Battle of Bunker hill is named for its location adjacent to Bunker Hill.

    The Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776. This allowed the United States to no longer be part of the British Empire.

    The Battles of Saratoga were fought on September 19 and October 7, 1777. These battles created a turning point for the Revolutionary War, allowing the Patriots to be ahead of the British. John Burgoyne, a British leader, was forced to surrender due to the out number in forces by the thousands.

    The Battle of Trenton took place on the morning of December 26, 1777 in New Jersey. The Continental Army had previously suffered several defeats in New York. Many of Washington's men had been captured during crossing the icy river.

    The French Comodore John Paul Jones and Bonhomme Richard fight the British in a four hour battle. This battle is called the Battle of Flamborough Head, and took place as John Paul Jones had departed France. The battle ended with the result of Jones capturing the Serapis.

    The Battle of King's Mountain took place on October 7, 1780 nine miles south from Kings Mountain, North Carolina. The Patriots had defeated the Loyalists. This battle had raised the Patriots' morale after being defeated several time previous to this battle.
  • British Surrender at Yorktown

    British Surrender at Yorktown
    On October 19, 1781 General Cornwallis had surrendered at Yorktown. General Cornwallis had brought 8,000 British troops and expected backup from ships. The British Ships had not came, allowing the Patriots to force Cornwallis to surrender.

    On September 3, 1783 the Revolutionary War had ended with the signing of the Treaty of Paris. The document was signed in Paris, France.

    Washington's Farewell was George Washington's last day of presidency. Washington had served two terms as President of the United States. With George Washington's farewell, Washington had created a Farewell Address.
