    The colonists were hiding gunpowder and weapons when a British spy found out and they planned a secret attack. Paul Revere warned the colonists that the British were coming with their leader General Gage. They fought until they were ahead of the British and when they were able to keep what was theirs.

    The colonists were fighting for their independence. William Howe came from England to attack the colonists. Israel Putnam was on the watch at Breed’s Hill. They fought and at the end the British lost with over 1000 troops that were wounded or dead.

    Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. He had to write about why the colonies were separating from Britain. He was a shy man but when he wrote it was the complete opposite.

    The British and the colonists were fighting for freedom. George Washington was the American leader. after fighting over 1000 colonists lie dead when the British had only 377 men dead. Thomas Mifflin ordered the colonists to retreat and that’s what they did.

    Washington had ordered an attack to take over the city of Trenton. The civilians that lived their were completely surprised and immediately surrendered. The colonists had won without a single man dead.

    Sir Henry Clinton told the army to retreat to the Royal Navy to keep it supplied near the sea. The North War was finally over without every of the troops knowing.

    he United States of America signed a peace treaty with Great Britain. the signed this so they had independence, to own their own property and to return property to the British that was stolen during the war. This caused 80,000 loyalists to settle in British Canada.
