  • Treaty of Paris of 1763

    The Treaty of Paris is the document that ended the French and Indian War. The treaty declared all the land of the French now belongs to the British
  • Pontiac Rebellion

    Chief Pontiac leads Shawnees, Delawares, and other Indian Tribes against settlers. This creates the Proclamation Line
  • The Proclamation Line of 1763

    The Proclamation Line was a border that was created to separate the colonists and angry Native. This Line angered many colonists which fought for the Native land during the French and Indian war.
  • Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act was made to pay for the results of the French and Indian War. It lowered the price of tax to 3 pence. The British enforced this tax strictly. Taxed molasses, sugar, coffee, wines, etc
  • Stamp act

    The Stamp Act taxed all paper products after not earning enough money from the Sugar Act .
  • Writs of Assistance of 1765

    After colonists started smuggling items from getting taxed the Writs of Assistance were created. This made it so British could search any property looking for British goods
  • Quartering Act

    The British wanted to make sure the colonists were doing what they were told so they created the Quartering Act. This allowed British soldiers to be sheltered by the colonists. The colonists didn't have a choice.
  • Declaratory act

    This law said the British government had supreme authority.
  • Townshend Act

    The King finance minister had a plan to raise revenue in the colonies. This created the Townshend Acts which stated imports to the colonies were taxed.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre happened when a small group of colonists started to harass a British guard. The guard called for backup but when backup arrived the small group turned into a riot. The riot started to everything they had on them at them. One guard slipped and shot someone by accident this started a chain reaction which made all the guards shoot
  • Tea act

    The Tea Act was created to keep the colonists in check after the Boston massacre. This taxed all tea for the sellers not the buyers.
